On Twitter, I did a few new things. First, I followed ten more accounts. One account that I think will be useful for my research is Dr. Nathan Emery’s account (@eathered_ape). He is the author of the book Bird Brain. I retweeted and tweeted about various kinds of issues, including shark finning, poaching, ghost fishing gear, and more. Something new we did was focusing on clickbait titles and posting images. We also had to create a thread. I tried to focus more on birds and intelligence because that is my topic. In the thread, I talked about how researchers use the string test to determine intelligence.

The most interesting thing I learned on Twitter this week was National Geographic’s post about how birds along the East Coast have mysteriously been going blind and dying. Since my topic is on birds, I find this issue to be quite intriguing. At the moment, it is announced that "no definitive cause(s) of illness or death has been determined at this time."

For the blog responses, I responded to Mohammed, Landon, and Yongkang. For Mohammed, I talked about how his zoom meeting experience seemed interesting. He talked about choosing an animal topic, and how you should choose a specific species but don’t choose one that has too few issues. In Landon’s blog, I agreed that animals are much more intelligent than we think they are. Also, I thought that his Safina take-aways could need a bit more work. He could have talked about a specific chapter that he read. Finally, I agreed with Yongkang that animals and humans are similar to a certain extent.
