End of Week 6

The last few weeks have definitely helped me in writing my Literature Review. The TIME Articles by Jeffrey Kluger helped me understand more about animals in general. Also, using Google Scholar had helped me research a lot of researchers and articles needed for my LR. In addition, the assignments on Connect helped me in deeper understanding of the text, for example, analyzing the Big Three articles. This helped me understand the methods and results more, compared to if I did the reading and annotations myself.

I am not sure and confident that my essay meets the objective. However, I think the objective that I met in an effective way is the Introduction. I introduced the topic and explained why it was important. I still need work on connecting all the Big Threes together. There are not a lot of transitions so far. In addition, I could use more quotes and evidence from the articles and videos we have been watching into my LR. I could also make my conclusion a lot better to tie in the LR with the advocacy project.

For the Social Media Campaign next week, I decided to focus on the habitat loss of birds. I could talk about the effects of deforestation, wildfires, and land conversion. These things are the top factors in habitat loss. Habitat loss leads to a decline of numbers rapidly, and birds need their homes to survive.
