It's finally the end of Writing39C! This will be my final reflection blog for this course.
PART ONE: TWO Examples of Transformative Learning
Over the past ten weeks, my views on animals and their capabilities have changed significantly. My knowledge has been enriched by reading the time articles, analyzing the scientific studies, and watching the documentaries. A lot of animals are more intelligent than we give them credit for. A great example is elephants and their problem solving abilities.
Another transformative moment I had was using Twitter. This was the first time I used Twitter. My experience has been great and I Twitter was an amazing way to communicate with my peers. Reading the tweets and retweets were interesting because I got to learn more about different species. I think using digital technology is a great way to express yourself.
PART TWO: Taking Stock-- TWO Problems & A Plan for the Future
A problem area I had was time issues. I find myself doing most of the assignments at the last minute. I think that this makes my work feel incomplete and rushed. In the past, I have always procastinated on my assignments, but I am trying my best to fix this. In the future, I can try to set up a schedule and goal to continue working on this.
In addition, I also had trouble with writing issues. This includes language/grammar/punctuation. The Connect practice sessions took a lot longer than the suggested time it took to finish. I think this is because I keep getting distracted and the getting the answers wrong. I also have struggled with reaching the minimum word requirements. This was hard for me because I often cannot think of anything else to write. I can try to find more inspirations in the future.
